स जित्वा धनदं राम भ्रातरं राक्षसाधिपः ।
महासेनप्रसूतिं तद्ययौ शरवणं महत् ।। ७.१६.१ ।।
English · Meaning
Having conquered Dhanada, O Rāma, his brother, the lord of the demons then went to the great Śaravaṇa, the birthplace of Mahāsena.
Then the form “दृशग्रीवो” is textually unclear after “अथापश्यत्.” If it is intended to represent “दशग्रीवः,” Daśagrīva saw a great golden reed forest, enveloped in a network of rays, like a second sun.
After seeing the Pushpaka immobilized, he reflected. The transmitted phrase “ह्यगमं कामागं कृतम्” is difficult to construe exactly; its certain sense appears to be that the vehicle had been made unable to go as desired. The lord of the rakshasas, surrounded by those ministers, considered this.
The unabridged Sanskrit, 645 sargas, every verse numbered kanda.sarga.verse. Not a translation: this is the text every English witness is checked against, and the one the Sarvam pass translates. Whole-edition checksum is pinned through the TOC (corpus:check), not per page.
