The glorious Kumbha, son of Kumbhakarṇa, seeing the leader of the monkey troops rushing at him, urged on by the son of Vāli, [struck him / prepared to confront him].
He pierced his two eyebrows with two arrows, as one might pierce an elephant with two fiery missiles; blood flowed from him, and his eyes were covered/closed.
Pressing on the chest, placing his hand upon him together with the shoulder-region, and bending him down somewhat, he lifted him up in the great battle.
The unabridged Sanskrit, 645 sargas, every verse numbered kanda.sarga.verse. Not a translation: this is the text every English witness is checked against, and the one the Sarvam pass translates. Whole-edition checksum is pinned through the TOC (corpus:check), not per page.
